Notes specific to PROCJAM24:
- For this jam I expanded my existing galaxy generator to include explorable planets, and added the semi-procedural music. You can view the state of the project before this jam here
Usage
- Drag to pan around
- Mouse-wheel to zoom in/out
- Generally click/tap on something to zoom in
- +/- buttons or slider at the bottom for additional zoom control
- Optionally click the >> button to open a configuration panel and play with all sorts of knobs at different layers (note: different knobs will be exposed as you zoom down through the layers, and even more when viewing a planet)

You should add creatures to this.
Yeah, that would be fun, will maybe add those during the next ProcJam ^_^.
Or... maybe there already are creatures, but they're very, very rare? :D

This is super neat, awesome work! I'd love to be able to download it, perhaps bookmark systems/planets, to use in tabletop games or the like.
If you use the Itch.io app, you should be able to download it and run it locally. No bookmarking currently (although I considered keeping your view location in the URL instead of local storage and that'd implicitly let you bookmark / link / etc - I might put that on my short list of tweaks to do ^_^)
totally agree with the other comments, this is brilliant work, zooming in and looking for earthlike planets was really fun, would love to see this expanded on more moving forward, perhaps civilazations, animals, more plants and aliens on some planets.
